The Friends of the Library holds an annual book sale specifically for children's books at Ringer Library in March. If you have new or gently used children's books that you would like to donate for this book sale, you may drop them off at any Bryan + College Station Public Library System location. PLEASE NOTE: due to renovation of the Ringer Library, the book sale of children's books has been cancelled for 2019.
Scholastic Book Fairs are held at Larry J. Ringer Library from time to time. Details will be posted here when a Fair is scheduled.
Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library have a semiannual 2-day book sale in the spring and fall at the Clara B. Mounce Public Library in downtown Bryan. The next sale will be in April 2019. Join the Friends or renew your membership for early admission (9am to 10am on the opening day) to the book sale. Hours for the general public have traditionally been: 10am to 2pm on Saturday; 1:30pm to 3:30pm on Sunday.
On Saturday, books cost $20 per shopping bag. Bags are provided.
On Sunday, books cost $10 for the first bag, $5 for each additional bag.
Donations of books are accepted year-round at Mounce and Ringer libraries. Books must be in good condition. Contact Carol Maxson at 979-731-1610 or Jeanne Mitchell at 979-846-2673 for more information or if you would like to volunteer to help with the book sale.
